Description

Undyed Ethicon Coated Vicryl Braided Absorbable Suture, 3-0, PS-1 needle, 18", is a sterile, synthetic suture composed of Polyglactin 910, a copolymer of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. It is coated with a polyglactin-based lubricant to reduce tissue drag and improve handling characteristics. The braided configuration enhances flexibility, strength, and knot-holding capacity.

This suture is equipped with a PS-1 Prime Reverse Cutting needle, 3/8 circle, designed for use in firm tissues such as skin. The reverse cutting edge allows precise penetration with minimal trauma. The 18-inch length supports a range of medium-depth procedures requiring precise control and secure ligation.

Indications include general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including ophthalmic procedures. It is not indicated for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues. Common applications include muscle and fascia approximation, subcutaneous closures, reproductive tract surgeries, ophthalmic interventions, and as a secondary option in orthopedic cases.
